We received a very friendly welcome which did not falter during the 4 day stay. The breakfasts were excellent, cooked to order and using local and home made produce. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and cosy. The owner has a wicked sense of humour. I would have no hesitation in recommending this guest house.
The shower was not as reliable as I would have liked.

Very pleasant owner. Breakfasts were quite good. The room was very clean and the towels/bedding immaculate. Good array of maps/dvd's to use
The room was a little disapointing as there was very little which was superior to this from other rooms of a similar price. The bathroom had no shower facilities or no shower head for washing hair etc.Room was cold. Accept this was summer and no heating on in hotel but weather was more autumnal. The tv was very small. Kettle could not be plugged in unless on floor due to length of lead. However this should not put you off using the hotel as it is a fair hotel for the price

Availability of (free) off-street parking. Chris took the trouble to contact us re arrival time to ensure that there would be someone in to receive us. A very pleasant, homely and conveniently located B & B.

The best thing about this hotel is without doubt the owner. He is brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for him, he is an excellent cook (the breakfast was the best we had both tasted) and his local knowledge is spot on. Generally, he made staying at Plumpton Court a pleasure.
The only real criticism is that the shower in our room took much twiddling to find a setting where you were not either scalded or frozen. The decoration could also do with updating. But really these were both OK - if you allowed yourself to be seduced by other factors.

The owner was so friendly and made us welcome from the minute we arrived, lovely breakfast with a range of options from a full English to just a boiled egg or cereals, abudence of bread/toast available selection of teas, a very friendly atmosphere very clean and very comfortable. I alas had an accident whilst on holiday and broke my leg and the owner was 1st class assisting my husband and I with the dilema we found ourselves in, highly rate Plumpton Court.
